Rentals
We offer outdoor rental gear, which includes items like tents and stoves, as well as snowsport rental gear, which includes items like skis, snowboards, and snowshoes. Outdoor rental gear is booked for each night it is away from the store. Snowsport rental gear includes the day of pick up and drop off, and is booked for each day in between. You can also refrence our repair rates.

Payment and security deposit is due at time of reservation. Rentals are only done in person. Cancellations are for store credit only. Late fees accumulate at double the additional night rate. Equipment must be returned in clean, undamaged, working order. The refund of the deposit is contingent upon inspection of equipment. Renter may be assessed cleaning, repair, or replacement costs beyond the deposit.
Snowsport Rentals
When you’re ready to get out of town and hit the slopes, there’s only one choice for rental equipment in San Luis Obispo. Between the great selection of skis and snowboards and the knowledge of the team at The Mountain Air, you’ll find everything you need for the snow.
All snowsport rentals come with 1 free day for pick-up and 1 free day for drop-off.
For example, if you pick up on a Friday and drop off the following Monday, that is a 2 Day rental.
Rental cancellations are for store credit only.

Repair
The Mountain Air offers waxing, edging, base grind, stone grind, base repair, custom edging/textures, binding adjustments/function tests & mounting. We can also restring some tent poles (usually we can work on undamaged aluminum tent poles, but no fiberglass poles) for rates starting at $40.
